The Gallery
The artworks/prints that I have collected since the early 70s are often by world-famous artists such as Van Dongen, Chagall, Miró, etc. But also works that seemed to me particularly worthwhile to be rediscovered. Prints in the techniques lithographs, etchings, woodcuts, linocuts, screen prints and sometimes drawings, posters and also illustrated books. Enjoy, as I do, the work of artists known or less known by taking a look in the small gallery at Lage Gouwe 24 in the beautiful historic heart of Gouda. Not only when the door is open for you and the Gouda flag is flying on the facade. I can tell you many stories about the beautiful and exciting work of international printmaking! I always show something of it on the website, so regularly look at the discoveries that I have experienced over the past 50 years.
Our small monumental canal house is located a stone’s throw from the historic town hall, the museum and the St. John’s Church, world famous for its stained glass windows. The history of the house dates back to 1390. The name the building has long borne was ‘t Pyntgen Wijns’ (a pint of wine). So maybe a small wine bar.
